The hike starts at around 310 meters of altitude, close to the picturesque church area of Ponta do Sol. From here, the route follows two beautiful irrigation channels, Levada dos Moinhos and Levada Nova, each offering its own distinct scenery and atmosphere.

Throughout the walk, you’ll be surrounded by lush native vegetation, small waterfalls, and incredible views over the Ponta do Sol valley and coastline. The landscape changes constantly, creating a peaceful but exciting experience in close contact with nature.

The trail also includes short tunnels along the way, so a flashlight is recommended to make the journey easier and more enjoyable
